Best Buddies Louisiana recently hired a new team member, Chelsea Harris as Development Coordinator. This position was made possible by funding support from Operation Kids and The Drew Brees Dream Foundation.
Chelsea was chosen to join the Best Buddies Louisiana team based on her fundraising, programmatic, and development experience in non-profits.
Chelsea is a native of Brusly, Louisiana, and graduate of Louisiana State University where she earned her degree in Communication Studies.
Before joining the Best Buddies Louisiana staff, Chelsea served as Membership Coordinator and Young Professionals Liaison at the LSU Museum of Art for three years, where she implemented membership recruitment and sustainment plans, organized bi-annual, monthly, and quarterly events and fundraisers, recruited and engaged volunteers such as young professionals, and developed partnerships throughout the community.
Through Chelsea’s power of determination, high attention to detail, strong communication skills, and wealth of resources, she will be a key asset to the Best Buddies Louisiana team.
